There are really lot of interesting bays in Split nautical area that are worth visiting and believe us it was not an easy job to choose only 5 of them. Those are the 5 bays we find the most attractive and that we would definitely recommend You to visit for this summer.
Stiniva bay on the island of Vis
Stiniva bay on the island of Vis looks really astonishing due to its naturally unusual appearance. Its external sea entrance is relatively narrow (4-5 meters) which then expands into an unexpectedly wide and beautiful seaside cove.
The inviting bay can be approached only by boat or by foot. With no automobile access, the bay’s natural beauty has been well preserved.
There’s a small and charmy restaurant bar in the bay, ideal for enjoying refreshments in the shade. We recommend to visit Stiniva bay is in the morning hours when there is plenty of sun. The fresh appearance of the blue-green sea beside the white cliffs looks magical.
Palmizana (Vinogradisce bay), Pakleni islands
The most famous Hvar tourist resort with a nautic marina is Palmižana. The bay of Vinogradišće on the southern side of the island St. Klement is encircled with a dense pine tree forest, altogether with plants such as rosemary and heather among other exotic plants. Number of restaurants, bars and pensions are available on the island.
Lucice bay on the island of Brac
Lučice bay is a favourite bay amongst those who sail around this part of the Brac coastline. The cove has five endings in which you can always find a decent shelter from the wind. Besides those who sail, the cove is interesting for divers because of its cave on the western part of the cove. Along the sandy floor and the dense pine forest, the sea in Lučice has an exquisite sky-blue colour that simply invites the visitors for a swim. The nearby restaurants offer Dalmatian specialities and a rich selection of fresh fish.
Krknjasi bay on the island of Drvenik
Krknjaši bay on the Drvenik island, surrounded with Veli Krknjas and Mali Krknjas islets, is a real tropical lagoon from the picture postcards. It is not far away from land but a world away from mainstream tourism. Beautiful pebble beaches and shallow sandy seabed is a true tropical paradise of our sea. Krknjasi bay is well known to yachtsmen and captains of megayachts who love to cruise these unspoiled waters and enjoy the secluded beaches.
On Krknjaši there is a cult Dalmatian tavern, with an excellent selection of fresh seafood and authentic Dalmatian dishes.
Skrivena luka bay on the island of Lastovo
Skrivena Luka is located on the southern part of the island of Lastovo and is protected from the rough sea and strong winds.
Skrivena luka bay also known as Portorus is one of the biggest and the most beautiful bays on the island of Lastovo. Skrivena Luka means Hidden Harbor, and it is true that the bay can not be seen from the open sea.
There is an excellent restaurant in the bay Skrivena luka. At the front of the restaurant there is a floating pontoon mooring with approximately 26 berths for boats of up to 40 metres.
