Jeanneau 57 is elegant offshore cruiser which offers an exceptional interior and deck plan designed by Vittorio Garroni with ease of handling in mind. Every detail has been conceived to offer the highest quality cruising experience.
The Yachts series is positioned as Jeanneau’s premium line, targeted to the more serious cruising sailor who enjoys spending as much time at sea as at the dock. While sailing performance is a priority, the series is also designed to provide a level of comfort that allows it to compete with more exclusive, semi-custom brands.
The cockpit in Jeanneau 57 reflects the yacht’s design mission of appealing to serious sailors. Twin helms provide unobstructed views and allow crew members to move about without getting in the way of the helmsman. Little details such as properly angled sole sections at each helm station show Jeanneau’s sailing pedigree. The jibsheet winches and electric furling system are within reach of the helm, while the mainsheet and furling system are located forward in the cockpit. Jeanneau offers another hardware layout that brings all sail controls aft, an option better suited for short-handed sailing.
A centerline pod houses a large chart plotter visible from either helm. Forward of the pod is a teak table with fold-down leaves and a built-in, top-loading refrigeration system. Port and starboard settees can seat a total of 10 without crowding. With the table extended, dining alfresco will be the perfect way to celebrate a day under sail.
Thanks to the Jeanneau 57′s low profile and clean deck layout, going forward while underway doesn’t require extraordinary dexterity or agility.
The superb fit and finish of the interior’s woodwork is a result of combining traditional craftsmanship with modern CNC routers and computerized varnish systems. The African teak veneers are treated to provide a matched grain effect, and the consistency of the wood’s light color throughout the yacht is attractive.
Among the Jeanneau 57 highlights are its saloon, adjoining galley, and nav station. Bright, spacious, and cheerful, this is a comfortable place for a large crew or family to spend time off watch, preparing meals, and charting their next adventure. The tasteful décor is complemented by a nautical attention to detail, such as rounded furniture corners, and an abundance of hidden stowage. An especially neat trick is the location of a washing machine under the nav seat.
Another highlight of the Jeanneau 57 is its tender garage, which can be outfitted with a roller and winch system for launching and retrieving an inflatable.
